Hi, I’m Nathalie.
A few years ago, if you’d told me I’d be writing about money and investing, I probably would’ve laughed.
Not because I wasn’t interested in money, I definitely was, but because I was really good at spending it.
Whenever I earned more, I simply spent more. I loved buying things, convincing myself they would make me happier or more successful, and I never really questioned where my money was going. Saving wasn’t exciting, investing sounded like something wealthy people did, and I certainly wasn’t thinking about financial independence.
Then something changed.
I started asking myself a simple question: What if my money could work for me instead of disappearing every month?
That question sent me down a rabbit hole that completely changed my life. I started reading books, listening to podcasts, learning about investing, building businesses, and understanding how people actually create wealth. I realised that financial freedom isn’t about earning millions or getting lucky. It’s about making small, smart decisions consistently over time.
The more I learned, the more I realised that money isn’t really about money.
It’s about freedom.
The freedom to choose where you live. The freedom to travel. The freedom to spend more time with the people you love. The freedom to leave a job that no longer makes you happy, start a business you’ve always dreamed about, or simply stop worrying every time an unexpected bill lands on your doorstep.
That’s why I created Money Looks Good On You.
This isn’t just another investing website. Yes, we’ll talk about ETFs, compound interest and building long-term wealth, but we’ll also dive into entrepreneurship, increasing your income, saving without feeling deprived, financial independence, mindset, and creating a life where money supports your goals instead of controlling them.
I’m not a millionaire (yet), a hedge fund manager or someone who claims to have all the answers. I’m simply someone who’s a few steps further along the journey and loves making complicated topics feel simple.
Everything you’ll find here is written the way I’d explain it to a friend over coffee: honest, practical and without unnecessary jargon.
Whether you’re making your first investment, dreaming of starting a business, working towards FIRE, or simply trying to become better with money than you were yesterday, I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s build wealth together! Not because money is the goal, but because of the life it can help you create.
